I. Overview of ZX Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps

The ZX horizontal clean water self-priming centrifugal pump is a self-priming pump model connected to the pump body via a coupling by a motor. Its main feature is the self-priming function, eliminating the need for a foot valve in the pipeline. Before operation, only a fixed amount of priming liquid needs to be stored in the pump body to realize the "one-time priming, lifelong self-priming" function. It has advantages such as compact structure, convenient operation, stable operation, easy maintenance, high efficiency, and long service life. The pump body and flow-passing parts can be made of cast iron or various grades of stainless steel, and the motor can be equipped with frequency conversion or explosion-proof motors. It is widely used in industrial sectors such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, machinery, chemical fiber, food, energy, and transportation, for urban water supply, and can also be used for agricultural irrigation and sprinkler irrigation. II. Structural Principle of ZX Self-Priming Centrifugal Pumps

The pump body of the ZX horizontal clean water self-priming centrifugal pump consists of a suction chamber, a liquid storage chamber, a volute chamber, a return hole, a gas-liquid separation chamber, etc., adopting an axial return structure. After the pump starts normally, the impeller sucks the liquid in the suction chamber and the air in the suction pipeline together, and they are fully mixed in the impeller. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid carrying gas flows toward the outer edge of the volute chamber, forming a white foam belt with a certain thickness and a high-speed rotating liquid ring on the outer edge of the impeller. The gas-liquid mixture enters the gas-liquid separation chamber through the diffusion pipe. At this time, due to the sudden decrease in flow rate, the lighter gas is separated from the mixed liquid, and the gas continues to rise and discharge through the pump outlet. The degassed liquid returns to the liquid storage chamber and enters the impeller again through the return hole, mixing with the gas sucked from the suction pipeline inside the impeller. Under the action of the high-speed rotating impeller, it flows to the outer edge of the impeller again. As this process repeats, the air in the suction pipeline continuously decreases until the air is exhausted, completing the self-priming process, and the pump then operates normally.

Some pump bearing bodies also have cooling chambers at the bottom. When the bearing temperature rise exceeds 70℃ due to bearing heat generation, coolant can be injected through any coolant pipe joint at the cooling chamber for circulating cooling. The sealing mechanism inside the pump that prevents liquid leakage from high-pressure areas to low-pressure areas is the front and rear sealing rings. The front sealing ring is installed on the pump body, and the rear sealing ring is installed on the bearing body. When the sealing rings wear after long-term pump operation, affecting the pump's efficiency and self-priming performance, they should be replaced.
